Muskingum College is within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and all college locations including McConagha Stadium. Golf courses, the Zane Trace Museum, Salt Fork State Park, The Wilds, and  The Cambridge Glass Museum are only a few miles away.  Historic Roscoe Village and Longaberger Baskets in Dresden, Ohio, are within  a 30 minute drive.

The Wilds is an innovative institution whose mission is to support wildlife conservation. Animals at the Wilds live in protected, large, open range habitats. There are no bars, no cages, no pens in sight. Your guided tour will include open range views of wildlife from around the world. Memorial Day 2002, marks the planned opening of Phase I of the John and Annie Glenn Historic Site and Exploration Center. Located just several properties west of Friendship House Bed and Breakfast, this project is dedicated to telling 20th century American history through the lives of two exemplary Americans, John and Annie Glenn. Set in the year 1936, when John was sixteen years old, this boyhood home is intended to be a living history museum, where seniors and youngsters can be put in touch with the way in which small town America coped with the Depression.
